This is raw, somebody’s-on-the-other-end-of-a-controller video of Mercenaries 2 in action, with lead designer Scott Warner taking the wheel to show how the game’s objectives can be completed differently using the three available mercenaries. And by “objectives completed” they mean “make everything around you explode“.

¡Pero qué estilo! Esto sí que e ir original. Si tu alma es 100% geek seguro que ya andas pensando con qué combinar esta simpática camisa diseñada por la marca Rhombus. Como puedes apreciar, aunque a simple vista parece una prenda de rayas normal y corriente, cuando te acercas podrás ver todo un completo entramado de números binarios.

Disponible sólo en color beige y realizada en algodón (97%), eso de llevar el orgullo geek allá donde vayas tampoco sale precisamente barato, dado que la camisa cuesta 75 dólares (unos 48 euros), pero ¿y lo bien que vas a quedar cuando aparezcas en el trabajo con ella puesta? Reconócelo, ya te lo estás imaginando…

Aunque las últimas y sucesivas noticias de Asus te hayan confundido un poco, no te equivoques: el Asus Eee PC 904 aún no era oficial. Hasta hoy. Ya se ha presentado, digamos que, formalmente en sociedad, y te damos todos los datos que conocemos al respecto.

El ultraportátil dispondrá de una pantalla de 8,9 pulgadas (1024 x 600) con procesador Celeron M 900MHz, 1 GB de RAM, 80 GB de capacidad, Windows XP como SO instalado y su teclado adopta las mejoras que ya se realizaron en la serie Asus Eee1000. Disponible a mediados de este mismo mes, el Asus Eee Pc 904 tendrá un precio de unos 340 euros, aproximadamente.

Por cierto, Asus ha aprovechado también para rebajar el precio de su modelo Eee Pc 901 que pasa a rebajarse unos 60 dólares (38 euros al cambio).

The first half of this year belong to the PSP. According to Famitsu publisher Enterbrain, the PSP moved 1,964,461 units, while the Wii was hot on its heels with 1,720,263 units. Rounding out the top three was the Nintendo DS, selling 1,593,844 units. Now that Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G has been out for three months, we’ll have to wait and see if the Sony portable still has enough steam to snag the second half of the year.

La compañía HP apuesta por los nuevos procesadores AMD y prueba de ello es el anuncio del lanzamiento de nuevos portátiles con los Turion X2 Ultra.

Están disponibles en dos modelos, el Compaq 6535b -en la imagen- y el Compaq 6735b, de 14 y 15,4 pulgadas, respectivamente, con los cuales podremos optar a configuraciones base con el citado procesador de AMD a 2,1 Ghz, 2 GB de RAM, 120 GB de disco duro y conexión WiFi (con opciones, entre otras, de cámara VGA y módem Qualcomm Gobi) por un precio de 1079 dólares (680 euros). Pero ya sabes que con los AMD Turion X2 Ultra puedes aspirar a mucho más de manera que nos permite contar con hasta 8 GB de RAM y trabajar con gráficas Mobility Radeon HD 3200. Ya dependerá de lo que quieras pedirle a tu portátil, aunque con un procesador así lo interesante, sin duda, es sacarle partido.

Actually, kinda miss the 4th. Well, the way it’s done in America. People pretty much set off fireworks all summer here — like you can buy them at your local 7-11. So, they’re more of a summer thing, which is nice. Not sure about the laws regarding them, but people tend to go down by a river and shoot ‘em off at all hours of the night with no problems from the police.

We planned on shooting off fireworks tonight, but ran out of him. The afternoon was spent at the doctors. Going into this, Mini-Bash wanted a girl, but after a ding-dong popped up on the ultrasound, it looks like we’ll be adding yet another young lad to the Ashcraft clan. Afterwards, he remarked: When the baby boy is a baby, it’ll be cute. But when it grows up, it won’t be cute anymore. Valid point.

Now, we just have to think of a name……. And a name that “works” in both English and Japanese and has Japanese kanji. Tricky!
